Nutrition content for every bar include 96 kcal of energy, 1.5 g of protein, 13.3 g carbohydrate, 6.7 g of sugar, 3.9 g of total fat, 2.6 g of saturated fat, 0.8 g of MUFA, 0.4 g of PUFA, 0.1 g of trans fat, 1.2 mg of cholesterol, 1.8 g dietary fibre, 1.5 g oligofructose, and 24 mg of sodium.

Why we should take virgin coconut oil?


1. It support human immune system by fighting disease and illness.

It contains antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial properties. Try taking it when you are facing with any type of virus or infection.

2. Good for cardiovascular health. 

It is true that it contains saturated fat (but contain NO CHOLESTEROL as it is a plant source) but studies stated that taking virgin coconut oil does not have bad effect to the heart. Instead, it reduces the risk of having high cholesterol and heart attack. The early studies found that it causes high cholesterol because the experiment use partially hydrogenated coconut oil and not virgin coconut oil and also it was done on animals, not on human. Moreover, it has been found that Polynesians in the Cook Islands whose diet is high in coconut oil have low level of cholesterol and very low heart attack incidents compared to the rest of people in New Zealand who do not take coconut oil that much. While in Sri Lanka, study found that the heart attack incidents rise as the intake of coconut oil has reduce.

People with hypothyroidism have successfully improved or even reversed their hypothyroidism and have been able to stop taking thyroid medication. It may not work for everyone and it is important to consult with your doctor before stopping any medications.

A study found that daily intake of virgin coconut oil daily by women had a significant reduction in abdominal fat.
