Why we should take virgin coconut oil?
1. It support human immune system by fighting
disease and illness.
It contains antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial
properties. Try taking it when you are facing with any type of virus or
infection.
2. Good for cardiovascular health.
It is true that it contains saturated fat (but
contain NO CHOLESTEROL as it is a plant source) but studies stated that taking
virgin coconut oil does not have bad effect to the heart. Instead, it reduces
the risk of having high cholesterol and heart attack. The early studies found
that it causes high cholesterol because the experiment use partially
hydrogenated coconut oil and not virgin coconut oil and also it was done on
animals, not on human. Moreover, it has been found that Polynesians in the Cook
Islands whose diet is high in coconut oil have low level of cholesterol and
very low heart attack incidents compared to the rest of people in New Zealand
who do not take coconut oil that much. While in Sri Lanka, study found that the
heart attack incidents rise as the intake of coconut oil has reduce.
3. For thyroid support
People with hypothyroidism have successfully improved or even reversed
their hypothyroidism and have been able to stop taking thyroid medication. It may
not work for everyone and it is important to consult with your doctor before
stopping any medications.
4. Support weight Loss
A study found that daily intake of virgin coconut oil daily by women had
a significant reduction in abdominal fat. Although it is a type of fat, it may
actually help to lose weight because it contains medium chain fatty acids
rather than long chain fatty acids like some other commonly used oils. Our body
uses the energy from coconut oil and does not store much of it as fat. So, it
helps to boost the metabolism.

staph infection. A study found that it was beneficial in the treatment of
atopic dermatitis (AD) that was colonised with Staphylococcus aureus.

faster healing and showed higher collagen cross-linking than the control group.

Coconut oil is commonly used in to Asia to prevent stretch marks during
pregnancy. Women also found that by applying it to stretch marks after it was
formed could erases the stretch marks or greatly reduces their appearance.

It keep your skin youthful and healthy as it moisturised your skin it
can replaced lotion for a healthier moisturiser. It also helps to fight
bacteria and other skin problems such as rashes, dermatitis, acne, wrinkles,
eczema, and psoriasis. If you have an irritated skin, apply coconut oil on that
area to soothe the inflammation and reduce the symptoms.

protein loss during washing. Try applying a little bit of coconut oil on the
hair to brush out tangles or massage a tiny bit on coconut oil on the scalp for
a silky, strong, head of hair.
